• High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT): A small diamond seed is placed in a press that mimics the intense heat and pressure found deep within the Earth’s mantle. Over several weeks, carbon atoms bond to form a larger crystal.
• Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD): A diamond seed is placed in a vacuum chamber filled with carbon-rich gas. When heated, the gas releases carbon atoms that gradually build up on the seed, growing a diamond layer by layer.
Both processes produce real diamonds that are virtually indistinguishable from those formed over billions of years within the earth.
