Extending the legacy of the Seiko Astron, the world’s first commercially available quartz watch, today’s Astron is designed for a new generation of leaders to break through to a new future with excellence in both innovation and style. Combining an avant-garde yet tailored design with the highest degree of accuracy possible in a wristwatch, this exceptional Limited Edition is available in a controlled production run of 1,200 pieces with the serial number engraved on each caseback and is equipped with Seiko’s 5X83 caliber, offering both high-speed GPS dual time and time zone adjustment to 39 time zones and a chronograph function that measures elapsed time in 1/20th second increments. The movement also features an AM/PM indicator, daylight saving time function, power save function, perpetual day/date calendar correct to the year 2100, and a time transfer function that allows the user to switch the main time and dual time indications with the push of a button, all powered by light energy with no battery change required. Framed by a titanium bezel with a white ceramic insert, and topped with dual curved sapphire crystal with super-clear coating, the black dial displays a distinct texture, embodying the future, made possible by improved charging efficiency of the solar cell, providing an outstanding contrast to the subdials. In addition to the four subdials, laid out vertically for a sporty look, the dial includes vivid green accents, a date calendar, and LumiBrite hands and markers.
